Commission a Custom Portrait

Some photos are too meaningful to leave on a screen.

Whether it’s a beloved pet, a moment you never want to forget, or a gift that truly matters, each portrait is hand-painted with care, intention, and attention to detail.

What You Can Expect

Each piece is painted by hand using a digital stylus—one brushstroke at a time.
This is not a filter or automated process. It’s a painting, created in a modern medium.

The goal is simple: to capture not just how it looked, but how it felt.

The Process

1. Send Your Photos First
Before purchasing, email your photos to alycia@alyciabarry.com.

Clear, well-lit images with visible details work best. The portrait is based on the exact pose from your reference, so strong photos make a big difference. If you’re unsure, guidance is always available.

2. Plan Your Portrait
Your best image will be selected, cropped, and reviewed with you.
You’ll approve size, colors, and layout before painting begins.

3. Reserve Your Spot
If there’s a waitlist, your purchase secures your place. You’ll be updated on timing.

4. Painting & Proof
Your portrait is painted by hand with careful attention to detail.
You’ll receive a proof when it’s complete.

• One small revision included
• Additional revisions available

Lower-quality photos may require extra time and may result in an additional fee.

5. Print & Frame (Optional)
If selected, you’ll choose from 2–3 frame options.
Canvas frames: black, chocolate, or gold float.

What Makes This Different

• Hand-painted—no filters or AI
• Focus on emotion, not just likeness
• Created as a meaningful, lasting keepsake

Common Questions

Can you work from older or imperfect photos?
Often, yes. If a photo is especially meaningful, it can still work beautifully. However, lower-quality images may require additional time and detail work, which can result in an added fee.

How long does it take?
Turnaround times vary, but most pieces are completed within a few weeks. Each portrait is given the time it needs to be done right.

Is this a good gift?
These portraits are often given for birthdays, memorials, and meaningful occasions—especially when you want something personal and lasting.

A Note on Meaning

Many clients come with photos tied to love, loss, or once-in-a-lifetime moments.
Each portrait is created with care and respect for what it represents.

Availability

Because each piece is created by hand, only a limited number of commissions are accepted at a time.
